The University of Sydney stands as a benchmark for contemporary educational architecture, an environment designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
At the heart of this landmark project is a carefully considered material palette, where porcelain tiles play a critical role in both performance and aesthetics.
To meet the demands of a high-traffic institutional setting without compromising on design, Laminam’s large-format porcelain tiles were selected as a key material solution. Specifically, the I Naturali collection in Pietra di Savoia Grigia brought together the timeless beauty of natural stone with the advanced durability of porcelain tiles, helping transform the University of Sydney into a cohesive, modern learning space.

ICC Sydney - Designed by Hassel + Populous
For the ICC’s dramatic soffit, which spans high above Darling Harbour’s bustling precinct, Studio Hassell+Populous needed a surface that would be low-maintenance, withstand the test of time, and contribute to the building’s sustainable design philosophy. Laminam’s Oxide Bianco was selected for its ability to achieve all of these requirements while delivering a modern finish.

The Stables - Bundeena Project
The latest project by The Stables is a confident transformation of a once modest seaside cottage into a ranch-inspired farmhouse layered with warmth, texture and character.
For this project, The Stables selected Laminam Diamond Cream from Studio Porcelain.
The surface runs throughout the kitchen and continues into the outdoor alfresco BBQ area, creating a seamless visual connection between inside and out.

Riad Nyla Wellness & Spa, Marrakech
Laminam surfaces take centre stage in this refined Moroccan retreat, where craftsmanship and advanced ceramic technology meet in perfect harmony. Designed by architect Mattia Siviero (MSDA) and interior designer Corinne Dressler, Laminam features throughout the riad — from floors and walls to bathrooms, furniture, benchtops, and custom washbasins.
Collections including I Naturali, Ossido, Calce and IN-SIDE combine in a rich mix of finishes and tones, creating a seamless total-look interior that bridges Moroccan tradition and contemporary design. From the Calacatta Oro Venato reception to the Noir Desir wellness centre, Laminam shapes spaces that are elegant, tactile, and timeless — capturing the serene essence of Marrakech.

The versatility and performance of Laminam surfaces is fully showcased in the challenging maritime context, where resistance and beauty must coexist in perfect harmony.
The IN-SIDE collection, in particular the Pietra Piasentina Grigio colour, is the ceramic protagonist of this refined design project.
The Flamed finish was chosen for the shower wall cladding, its texture adding depth and character, recalling the strength of natural stone. The Natural finish from the same collection is used for the kitchen island and bathroom countertop, for an elegantly understated yet incredibly high-performance surface.

Calacatta Michelangelo, with its delicate veining and luminous tone, was selected for the kitchen benchtop and splashback, creating a sophisticated interplay against the dark cabinetry.
In the bathroom, Statuarietto continues the narrative in a softer expression, cladding the vanity with understated elegance. Together, these surfaces evoke a classic and enduring aesthetic, balancing warmth, refinement, and contemporary style.

The renovation of an apartment in a historic building in central Barcelona: the Paseo San Juan Apartment interprets the city’s kaleidoscopic spirit by offering a contemporary rereading of the solidity and wealth of its tradition.
Great care was taken over the surfaces, so the choice of Laminam large slabs for the claddings of the kitchen and bathroom should be no surprise.
In fact, the I Naturali collection in Calacatta Michelangelo shade with Soft Touch finish was used both for the kitchen countertop and backsplash and for the washbasin and shower enclosure.
Like all Laminam slabs, Calacatta Michelangelo delivers outstanding technical performance: its surfaces are tough and durable, quick and easy to clean and suitable for contact with foods.
