We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Laminam as the exclusive NSW distributor.
To celebrate this exciting milestone, we hosted a special Lunch & Learn event, bringing together some of the most respected architects and interior designers in the industry. The event was held in the stunning Atrium at The Grounds, a space that perfectly complemented the innovative spirit of the day.
A Day of Insights and Inspiration
We were honoured to have Matteo, Laminam’s Director, join us all the way from Italy, where every Laminam slab is expertly manufactured. Matteo shared the brand’s inspiring journey and the cutting-edge innovations that make Laminam a global design leader. Sustainability runs in Laminam’s DNA, with responsible production processes and a focus on reducing environmental impact at every step.
Matteo also introduced us to one of Laminam’s most compelling advantages—a patented production technology that allows their slabs to be created without the use of a mould. This innovative approach means the slabs are tension-free, making them not only more stable and versatile, but also easier to work with compared to traditional porcelain surfaces.
Laminam offers a wide range of thicknesses, colours, and finishes, allowing designers and architects complete freedom to create sophisticated, seamless spaces with both visual and technical excellence.
The Lunch & Learn event was an opportunity for our guests to discover the rich story behind Laminam, a leader in the porcelain slab industry, and to explore the incredible potential of Laminam’s materials for modern architectural and interior design projects.
The Invisa Cook Collaboration: A Seamless Integration
One of the standout moments of the day came when Fabio from Features Group, when he introduced the concept of the Invisa Cook—a revolutionary stove that is installed under the stone surface, completely hidden from sight. Fabio explained how Laminam’s porcelain is the best material to pair with the Invisa Cook, offering both exceptional heat resistance and design versatility, making it an ideal match for cutting-edge kitchen designs.
Laminam and Oblica: A Perfect Match for Fireplaces
Another highlight of the event was Simon from Oblica, an innovative Australian retailer specialising in high-end fireplaces, spoke about their exciting new showroom in Alexandria. Simon shared how Oblica chose Laminam to clad their fireplaces and why the 5mm Laminam slabs were the ideal choice for their designs. The sleek, minimalistic aesthetic of Laminam, combined with its strength and durability, makes it the perfect material for creating stunning, modern fireplaces that stand the test of time.
An Unforgettable Day of Networking and Inspiration
The event was a resounding success, with an outpouring of positive feedback from our guests. Many expressed how much they appreciated the opportunity to connect with industry peers and learn more about the exceptional possibilities that Laminam’s porcelain slabs present. The combination of expert speakers, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxed yet informative atmosphere made for a truly memorable day.
We are incredibly excited about this new chapter for Studio Porcelain and the possibilities that our collaboration with Laminam will bring to the architectural and interior design communities. As we continue to expand our range of premium materials and design solutions, we look forward to being a trusted partner for architects, designers, and builders alike.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you to everyone who joined us for this wonderful event!
